1. By entering this competition, the entrants will be deemed to have read and understood these rules and to be bound by them.
2. The only valid methods of entry will be online via the website by completing the form at www.discoverymytribe.co.uk ("the Website") - entries will only be valid where the confirmation screen is displayed (with a unique reference code, which entrants should keep safe).
3. The competition is only open to entrants residing in the United Kingdom and who are over the age of 18 years. Only one entry per person.
4. Entrants expressly declare and represent that (i) they submit to English law in participating in this competition and (ii) they are individuals and not a company or any professional and/or commercial entity.
5. This competition is NOT open to employees of the Promoter, Discovery Communications, LLC., Discovery.com and their respective parents, affiliates and subsidiaries.
6. The competition will run on the Website from 7th August 2007 until midnight (GMT) 28th September 2007 (inclusive). Winners will be notified in writing or by telephone.
7. Illegible, incomplete or late registrations and entries will be disqualified.
8. The panel of judges will select from all valid entries one (1) first prize winner who in the judges' opinion is the most inspirational candidate based on the statement the entrants have provided in the online entry form on the Website. The judges will also allocate ten (10) runners up prizes based on the strongest and most interesting 'My Tribe' entries. All the judges' decisions are final and no correspondence will be entered into.
9. The first prize winner will receive a prize of a trip from London, UK to Ghana with up to seven (7) adult members of their "tribe" for five days (subject to availability and the final details of which will be confirmed by the Promoter to the first prize winner upon notification of winning). The first prize will include return economy flights and accommodation on a B&B basis. The costs for all activities will be covered by the Promoter. If more than one member of the winning tribe is from the same company, leave to participate in the holiday prize will be at the discretion of the employer.
10. Entrants acknowledge that the flight, the hotel and the activities will all be subject to the relevant third party service provider's standard terms and conditions and the first prize winner and their tribe will adhere to the Terms and Conditions set by the travel company 'Madventurer' prior to confirming their places on the trip.
11. The ten (10) runners up will receive a mobile phone each (the specification of which will be confirmed by the Promoter upon notification of winning).
12. All prizes are non-exchangeable, non-transferable and non-refundable and there is no cash alternative available.
13. If the Promoter is not able, for any reason, to contact any winner by the contact details provided by the winner within three (3) weeks of first attempting to do so, then the Promoter reserves the right to choose another winner and to reallocate the prize to such new winner.
14. The names of the first prize winner and the ten (10) runners up may be used by the Promoter in post-event publicity.
15. The Promoter will be entitled to terminate or modify the competition or to modify these rules prior to the closing date by displaying the amended T&Cs on the Website.
